IKEA laundry room installation

We designed and installed this cute little laundry room for the same clients who's kitchen I featured in my previous post, "I Can't Believe It's IKEA".

As you can see, IKEA's kitchen cabinets work great outside the kitchen too!

Laundry room design

Our designer, Breanne did a great job of maximizing the small, restricted space, and I really like the use of the RUBRIK blue doors for an accent.  It can be tricky to work those in to a design, because they only come in 15 and 18" widths.

Mud room design

Here's a cool IKEA hack:  Since this room is just off the garage, the client wanted a place to sit and take off shoes and store coats and bags, so we built some custom shelves and cubbys using matching panels from IKEA.  For the seat, we used a piece of IKEA's NUMERAR countertop.
