The Vision

Opening Up the Space

Want to knock down that wall between the kitchen and living room? It's one of our most requested projects — and one where experience matters most. Opening up a kitchen means coordinating structural framing, rerouting electrical and plumbing, and sometimes relocating HVAC — all while keeping everything safe and up to code. We've transformed dozens of closed-off kitchens into bright, open spaces, and we know how to do it right while keeping your project on budget and on schedule.

Craftsmanship in the Details

A great kitchen remodel lives and dies in the details, and attention to detail is where we shine. Our in-house tile team installs backsplashes with the kind of precision that turns a functional surface into a focal point. Our plumbers handle everything from relocating supply lines for the perfect layout to installing the wet bar you've been dreaming about. And our electricians ensure you have power exactly where you need it — from under-cabinet LEDs and recessed lighting to dedicated circuits that keep your appliances running safely.

Surfaces & Finishes

From quartz and granite countertops to butcher block islands, from hardwood floors to eco-friendly Marmoleum — these are the surfaces you'll use the most, and we install them to last. We work with trusted local fabricators who deliver quality craftsmanship and quick turnaround on countertops, and our flooring partners bring the same level of care whether they're laying new hardwood, refinishing existing floors, or installing specialty materials. Every surface is chosen and installed with intention — because the kitchen is where your family gathers, where memories are made, and where your home truly comes to life.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a kitchen remodel take in Seattle?

If we’re not moving walls, a mid-range kitchen remodel typically runs 4–6 weeks from demo day to the final walkthrough. Structural work can add 2–4 weeks on top of that. Before setting a start date, plan 2–4 weeks for permits and anywhere from 6–12 weeks for cabinets, specialty tile, and other materials to arrive. It’s important to have everything lined up and ready to go before the project starts — that’s how you avoid delays.

Do I need permits for a kitchen remodel?

It depends on the scope. If there’s structural work — like removing a load-bearing wall or adding windows — you’ll need a building permit with architectural drawings and engineering. That can add several weeks of preparation and waiting for approval before the project can start, so plan accordingly. For electrical and plumbing work, our electrician or plumber can pull a simple over-the-counter permit the same or next day. Smaller jobs like swapping out a sink or dishwasher, or changing light fixtures, usually don’t require a permit at all.

What’s the difference between a kitchen refresh and a full remodel?

A refresh keeps your existing layout and focuses on the surfaces — new cabinet doors or refacing, new countertops, updated backsplash, fresh paint, maybe new appliances. That usually runs $15,000–$30,000 and takes a few weeks. A full remodel means we’re changing the layout, tearing out the old kitchen, and rebuilding — new cabinets, electrical, plumbing, flooring, the works. That’s typically $35,000–$100,000+ depending on how far you want to go. Most of our clients end up somewhere in between — they don’t need to gut the whole thing, but they want more than a facelift.

What should I expect during a kitchen remodel?

Remodeling is disruptive — there's no way around it. You'll be without a kitchen for most of the project, so set up a temporary station with a microwave, coffee maker, and paper plates. We contain dust and protect your floors, but it's still construction. The upside is that a well-managed project moves fast. We keep a tight schedule, communicate daily, and get you back into your kitchen as quickly as the work allows.
